Young Legacy Builders educates children of diverse backgrounds ages 9 to 18 by offering free, equal access to resources of financial literacy, as it relates to character, community and youth entrepreneurship.
We teach the basics and beyond of business management, etiquette, outreach, investing and legacy building.
Many youth often become the product of poverty mindsets and end up committing crimes. "25% of all serious and violent crimes are committed by juveniles."
Teaching Financial Literacy, youth entrepreneurship and having our youth employ more youth is easier than sending them through the justice system. They can start a business with less that $400; "it cost $408 a day to lock up a juvenile.
"80% of minority small businesses suffer lack of capital and cash flow. This is 10% higher than all other business owners. In 41% of black businesses, the owner is the only employee; while another 40% has 2 to 5 employees."
Our youth entrepreneurship mentorship helps bridge these gaps so that our youth are able to tap into local resources that aid in their small business success.
We rely on your generous support and contributions that enable us to exceed our goals, improve conditions and change the lives of our future - children.
